260 AI Rem Titanium 700 Christensen- price drop

Up for sale is my mountain hunting rifle. I am looking to build do-all elk rifle- so this has to go. I bought this rifle new, and shipped it to Christensen for all the work. This rifle is in great condition and ready to hunt.


$2,200 = Rifle, dies, and brass (no optics, or optic mount)
Specifics:

• Trued Remington 700 Titanium short action from 260 Mountain Rifle
• Christensen carbon wrap barrel, Lilja 1-9" twist stainless blank finished @ 24"
• H-S Precision stock, professionally bedded W/Marine Tex plus grip texture added of the same material- flush cups installed front left and center bottom- Magpul bottom and magazine
• Gre-Tan bold shroud and firing pin
• Jewell trigger
• Redding FL dies, and at least 100 pcs of fireformed brass.

Not included:

• Bipod
• Stock pack

Round count is just north of 1,000 with lots of life left, bore looks great. I would expect at least another 2,000 before I thought about re-barrel. Shoots Nosler 129 grain ABLR @ 2975 FPS consistently into .6 or better for 5 shots. 120 Ballistic Tips are sub 1/2 for 5. Shoots factory 260 R-P ammo well too.

Any interest in trading for a really nice 338 Lapua? Just don't shoot it any more but it is a .5 MOA or better gun with 250 or 300 Bergers. HS Precision full build that I sent to Tooter Meredith and had him do some work and add a better muzzle break.

Thanks Tazman, but I have a 338 Lapua that I'm in the exact same situation with. 287 rounds down the pipe, and I've almost quit shooting it, just don't like the punishment. Thanks for the offer though.

No problem...I just don't have a place 2 shoot it anymore. I have 2 7mm guns. A full carbon 7mm saum and a full built 7-300wsm. I shoot the 162 ELD m out of the SAUM and the 180 Berger out of the 7-300wsm. Both are right at 3000FPS.

If you are wanting to build a 7mm on a short action. I have a 300SAUM with a 5.5-22x50 NF MOAR-T I could trade you. It's a SF sendero but has the better stock with the wider palm grip. It's custom coated and looks awesome and shoots good. It's the 1-12 twist barrel. Has a vias style radial break on it.

Who painted your stock and did the work? I may just send my 300 SAUM have a proof barrel in 6.5SAUM put on it.
