.240 Weatherby twist

I have a Weatherby rifle that is chambered in .240 Weatherby with 1-10 twist rate. Can anyone tell me if this twist will possibly stabilize the 105 amax ? I know that Hornady recommends a faster twist but I was hoping since this thing is gonna push the bullet pretty quick anyway that the 1-10 may work. Thanks in advance.

It should work in summer but not likely in colder temps. Mine worked well till it got cold. I'm at 1650-1800 elevation too.

I have a 24o wby like you im getting it rebarreled from er shaw 26" 1 in 8 twist. I would try berger classic hybrid hunter 95 gr bullet they work good in the 1 in 10 twist. ive shot a .19 group with it at 100 yds if I do my part.
