I recently purchased a Winchester 75 T. Just want to get opinions on .22lr ammo at 100 yard range.
I have had good results with CCI and Aguila in the past but never pushed .22lr to 100yards.

Eley RWS Wolf are some of the high end ammos, but you have to try different brands, when you find a good one,buy a lot of that lot. My 10-22 really does well with Aguila extra. The 38 HP , I bought a LOT on a black Friday sale. For the price I can't see buying $10.00 Eley for that extra .030 less at 100 yards.

Off topic a bit…..what would be considered a good (not great) 100 yard groups with a scoped rifle? Thanks memtb

if my 22lr with decent not match ammo gives me 1.5moa I'm happy.
if it's an expensive Rimfire and match ammo it better be under moa, if it's an anshutz and it's preferred ammo it better be well under moa.

Thank You! I guess that we're OK then. I've only shot at 100 on one outing, years ago, it seems that it was around 1 1/2".

I thought that was pretty decent….but had nothing to compare it to! memtb

hard to find a local store with good match 22lr in lots of flavors so you can buy a bunch of stuff and see what shoots but that's what you need to do.

We (wife and I) are not doing competition. We just have two pretty good rifles (I think) and a big pile of 22 LR's…..many in bulk packaging!

In seeing this thread, I was merely curious about what my expectations should be….or, should I even have expectations! 😉 memtb

I shouldn't post what we have for 22LR Ammo in Stock. (will have a hard time) We have the Spectrum from just Plinking with 10/22s, Rem Pumps, Winchester Lever to VUDO PRS Style Bolts Rifles.
You can shoot a good 22lr rifle/barrel thousands of rounds and not like Copper Jacketed Bullets---they can sometimes get BETTER the more rounds you put through them!!!

Anybody have a Vudoo or a Competition Barrel for 22lr Ammo and how many rounds have you shot through it????
5,000 -10,000 rounds??? and at what round count does the accuracy get better????
Also what Ammo do you shoot???

I know some Oldtimers that never clean their .22 rimfire barrels (only the Actions) and they say that the barrels only shoot better with AGE due to the lead filling in any imperfections in the Lands & Grooves.

Any RESPONSES????? To this theory???
Thanks
Len & Jill
