Long Range Hunters. Cousin has been looking at the 224 Valkyrie cal. MGM barrel company has a heck of a Youtube video of a shooter hitting gongs with a 224 Thompson Contender G2 , 22 inch barrel gun with compensator on it. The shooter is ringing steel at 1300 yards on video with the factory 90 grain Serria Match King FACTORY Ammo !
Question...... What would be a rough idea on the barrel life of a 224 Valkyrie with 90 gr factory ammo , we do not reload ? I don't think it would matter if barrel was a Thompson Contender G2 or a Ar15 barrel do you ?
We both like to shoot coyotes and prairie dogs . I am 60 so I know I would not shoot a barrel out , cousin is a lot younger.
