Has anyone tried the 200 grain ELDX in 300 wsm? I relieved a friend of a box of 100 for $20 so I figured it was worth a try. I have a ton of Winchester brass and IMR4350 sitting around. If anyone can steer me towards a good load I'd appreciate it.

The key to this bullet is seating depth. I had an ok load for it and Hornady finally published some load data for it on their website. They suggested a 2.855" COAL, which was 0.005" deeper than what I had as my COAL (2.860"). That change gave me a sub moa load that was one ragged hole!!
62.8gr RL-17
WLRM primer
Nosler Brass
2.855 COAL
2953 fps verified by my magnetto speed

I Shoot them out of my browning x-bolt using 59.5 grns of R-17 and am getting sub 1/2 inch 5-shot groups at 100yds. I am seating 10 thousands off the lands. I shot a elk and a whitetail with them this year and I was very pleased with bullet performance.

^^^This is the OCW for my WSM with 200 grain bullets with RL17 in Nosler/Norma brass. I've found RL17 to have good temp stability. Most complaints about RL17 are that it goes over pressure above 85*, but I've never personally had an issue and I've burned a lot of it.

It's a stock Sako 75 with 1:11 twist. Barrel is 24" and I had a brake installed.
I was impressed with the velocity too. I normally run 65.5 gr of HV100 with 180gr Accubond at 3057 fps. It's a 0.340" group. 2.86" COAL with Nosler brass and WLRM primer. I use the same recipe with the 180gr Partition and get slightly bigger groups.
