We just saw a documentary on "MIMETIC" "Camouflage". The "Rods" & "Cones" of an eye has a lot to do with how much Color or Movement it sees. Also body colors and shapes to blend in with the environment. Then the other spectrum of animals producing Color to make them known and stand out. This is to let the predator that they are poisonous and stay away.
