PRAYERS NEEDED

If you can say a prayer for me. I have to go in for surgery and the hospital for an IV of antibiotics.
They are having an issue of scheduling a room for me and the Surgeon to operate due to the 4th of July but definitely have to go in if my condition get any worse. My big toe on my left foot has been smashed so many time that the tip joint is al splintered Bone and infected. They have to amputate. I am not looking forward to having another part of my body taken. If they don't get it in time my foot is going to go.
If I have not responded to any DMs I am sorry but will catch you on the flip side.
Thank you and God Bless
Maybe I will need a smaller left foot boot!

Hello all
I do not have the words to express my feelings on the response to my "Prayers Needed". The Prayers worked! I was in the Hospital for SIX days can you imagine being in the Hospital for six days and just sitting there getting IV antibiotics every four hours, then every four hours getting LABS (4 blood tubes) the every four hours getting Vitals. Now they couldn't do it all at the same time so every hour some nurse was doing something to me. Didn't. sleep and could not eat the food. Well the operation went well. I was up during the operation and saw the top part of my toe & bone being removed. I have to go back to my surgeon next Tuesday when he will take the bandages off to see how it is healing. I am not supposed to walk around, but we have 6 new pups plus Cassie & Maximus, eight rescue cats and a goat. Jill has been doing everything since I was gone. Jill is and ANGEL sent from God to take care of me. There is no one better. A wife that takes care of you, the animals and loves Firearms and shooting!!!!!
I can't thank everyone enough.
God Bless all of you and if there is anything we can do for you let us know.
Thanks
Len

"I am not supposed to walk around,"

THEN DON'T.

Not following doctors post surgical instructions is a substantial cause of poor outcomes and/or failed surgeries!

How much do you desire to walk well for the rest of your life???

A neighbor here thought he had to carry 5 gallon pails of concrete up from the basement after a wall collapsed because of an ice jam flood. This was shortly after knee replacement surgery, so he had no business doing that. It healed wrong and his surgeon told him to live it with it like that.

I fell off a ladder in 1995, falling 30 feet onto a sloped roof and then 10 feet into the garden, blowing out both ankles. Severe grade 3 open fractures bilaterally involving the tibial plafond.

I was told no weight bearing for 3 months. I had to go 3 1/2 in a wheel chair. Then 2 months on crutches. I am still walking on the right ankle, left was replaced in 2009. Surgeon told me most people start walking on them before they are suppose to. Then a year later they come back crying for an arthrodesis (ankle fusion) because they cannot stand the pain.

I had an aunt that suffered for years because of a failed back surgery. She was told not to push a vacuum cleaner, etc. Old stubborn woman of Polish decent, would not listen. Her step daughters married wealthy guys and wanted to pay for a housekeeper, but she would not let anyone clean her house. This is someone that used to clean under the stove every week, until she got a gas leak from it being moved!

Did not want to use a walker either. Because she did not like the way it looked in her parlor/living room. Like Architectural Digest magazine was coming over for a photo shoot, or someone had a live feed camera in there or something... They did not get much company!
