I guess I'm back with another existential question.
I've bought and sold probably 15-20 handguns and rifles over the years. Now, I know what it takes mentally to buy one which is typically the expectation of doing something awesome with it, or it just feels right or something like that.
When it comes to selling these things I can contemplate for months whether to sell or not. Was it a rush to judgement to purchase or just not the right thing once you shoot it? Just curious as to why some of ya'll decide to sell and we're happy to do so. And yea, I know, " Don't ever sell a gun". And yea, I know, we all have the one we shouldn't have sold. Because it shoots like crap is acceptable but not the only answer.
Thanks

I have sold a couples of rifles and shotguns. I have more stolen from me than anything else. I get them built or purchase one. I keep thinking I like them, and then let sit there. I have a lot of get to them rifles.
In few more days I will turning my sights to Montana for almost the balance of my life. My home is in escrow, and about to be c;lose. 48 yrs in the same spot. Man it's been a lot of work to get through the requirements and having beening packed up to move. No wonder why I don't move to often. Hell of a fight to get it done. I still have one place in Murrieta, Cal that I have partly moved into. Seeing it shortfall and now planning to get them corrected.
Now I will have to look for a home in Montana and purchase it. I am in most ways done with Mexico-North. Only have to return a couple of times to fix the other place and sell it.
So do I sell my firearms no mosthly, and I will be able to do the reloading I want yes.
So when people say there nothing to learn here. Read again!

Do I have a use for it. If there's no time I would actually take it into the field or barely take it to the range, it has no reason for me to own it.
I try not to even buy a gun without that already figured out, but sometimes I end up with something that does it better and so a gun gets replaced.

Bought a Remington Varmint rifle in 22-250. Junk stock, garbage scope.
Bought a laminated stock and one piece bottom metal.
It was heavier than I expected.
I thought it was more suitable for the bench than the field. Wondered "what am I doing with this thing?"
Sold it, broke even.
He's happy, I'm happy.

I recently sold a Henry 45-70. What a HUGE mistake it was buying that rifle(for me). It functioned great, but...the recoil was not what my old shoulders needed. Of course, I lost some money in the interest of a quick sale, but I was glad it was gone.
