I have a Model 70 Classic Featherweight Stainless with a composite stock and the Ballistic Optimizating Shooting System (BOSS). 7mm Remington Magnum. My favorite hunting rifle. Extremely accurate, totally reliable, flat shooting, easy to carry. Impressive ballistics. They were called the model 70 classic featherweight all terrain.
Made from about 1995-1997 or so.
I saved up my mowing money and bought one in 1997 for $518. 270 win. I thought it was the most perfect rifle ever imagined. Has been a good gun. Stock looks cool, plastic, and not stiff at all.
I don't see any "engraving" on your stock.
In that case it may be a custom shop model, or aftermarket added with a mcmillan stock on it.
Post a Pic of whole rifle.
they did make them and I am looking for the stock to put on a classic stainless 30.06 from 1990I may be delusional but, I thought that they did make one!memtb
