I have a Model 70 Classic Featherweight Stainless with a composite stock and the Ballistic Optimizating Shooting System (BOSS). 7mm Remington Magnum. My favorite hunting rifle. Extremely accurate, totally reliable, flat shooting, easy to carry. Impressive ballistics.

they did make them and I am looking for the stock to put on a classic stainless 30.06 from 1990I may be delusional but, I thought that they did make one!memtb

Another option that may have happened.
The gun may have been made by Winchester as a Lipsey's special.
Sometimes Lipsey's will commission special runs from Winchester, Ruger and others that are not available to the public other than through Lipsey's.
So it may very well be a factory rifle, just that it was ordered from Lipsey's and sent to Dick's.
IF that was indeed the case, Winchester may not help you much.
