Wyoming deer unit 80

A buddy and I are looking to burn our Wyoming deer points this year and unit 80 is the main one we're interested in because of the variety of terrain. I have called 2 biologists in the area and can't seem to get a call back.

I'm just looking for info on deer numbers mostly. I have 10 points, but my deadbeat buddy skipped a few years buying points so we will have 8 points going into the draw.

Can any of you guys give me some info on the area? Not looking for anybody's honey hole or anything, just don't want to waste our points if it's not a good option.

We will be driving out from Missouri and plan to tent camp.

Unit 80 can be decent but it's hit or miss and changes year to year. With your points you're likely in range, but check WGFD draw odds and harvest reports before committing. Expect pressured deer and plan to cover ground success there is more about mobility than spots.
