I have a 218 bee and 220 swift now that I love. Well minus my 218 its being a ***** on finding a reload. Had a 17 fireball and sold it to my buddy and built a 17 rem instead. I like the old varmint calibers

I had one built, I took the average of what the interweb said for load, loaded 15gr. +/- .01 lil gun, Rem 7 1/2 primer, 40gr v-max got me 3,500 fps same hole @ 100 never tried anything else..... was actually a little disappointed it was that easy to load for.

Started this project when 17m2 ammo was rare and more exspensive that reloading small centerfires for a "long range" squirrel gun. Got talked out of a 22 hornet because necks splits and finicky reloading so I was told.
Got it all done just in time for PA game commision to change verbiage from .22 cal. Or less to .22 Rimfire or less for small game..... no long pokes at squirrels need to find some ground hogs fields

There's definitely plenty of groundhogs here in pa
Guess I need to load up the toys and ride around central PA.
I live in Central md and there's not a lot of opportunities between coyotes eating the groundhogs and everything being surrounded by houses. Done some with suppressed subsonics but you have to be super careful that nobody sees you.

Best action here when I still could find spots to use a rifle was on soybeans just as they were emerging. Two weeks of hard hunting.

I have debated a 221 fireball or to neck it down and shoot a 20 Vartarg instead.
40 grain 22 cal bullets at 3500 out of the fireball seem like they'd be perfect for me and they're easier to find bullets locally than the 20 cals. But everyone that has owned both swears you'll never leave the Vartarg once you own one.
