Pay to play as a non resident

Looks like your lic fee went up $50, real world while irritating it's not a big deal in the large scope of things. Like I said it's irritating but other things have increased much more than that I'd bet.

Yea I guess you right.

I'm use to a yearly non resident fee of 70 in my home state. Yearly.

5 day is 21.

91 seemed a little stiff.
 
I don't know from my point of view living in Utah lately I think the political leaders are out of control with taxes and trying to make money for themselves. Oh wait they have been doing that as far back as mittens and the Olympic bribes and most likely before I was paying attention.
Now its govner Cox and the data center that their trying to railroad thru and again more shady land buying . Yes inflation is real but so is greed and corruption. I dont mind pay to play but not when the squeezing doesn't equate to the benefit.
That why I think Im seeing alot more people when I go out fishing keeping there limit and more. Its a bad trend when people feel they need to get there money worth out of wildlife.

I'm okay with this. I'm so tired of 2:1 non residents everywhere I go to hunt or fish. On the rare occasion I get a non resident license i'm fine paying an exorbitant fee in goes that it helps enhance that state opportunities more than I use them.
 
I noticed all the state's have increased their license fee for non residents over the last couple of years. It definitely impacts the general public. I know the states need to generate income to maintain quality outdoor experiences. I think a lot of pushback comes from residents seeing an increase of non residents utilizing their resources.
 
I understand that out of state deer hunters has huge chance of getting a deer tag over residents just because of the higher prices and more money for the state. Then again, there aren't that many nice bucks, or deer in general in Arizona anyway!
 
I am fortunate enough to not have to worry about the financial part of hunting. However, my children and grandchildren are absolutely locked out of hunting because of the cost.
The primary reason I do not hunt as much as I want is the lack of opportunity. No tags. Last year I drew an alternate horns shorter than ears pronghorn antelope tag. That was the first tag that our group had drawn in SEVEN years. Our combination of application amounts to over 35 choices per year. Over seven years that amounts over two hundred choices with NO tags. That doesn't include our applications to other states with zero success.
I have hunted my fair share of non-resident hunts but I am increasingly unhappy when I am out in the field and see more out of state license plates where we are hunting. Logically I understand the non-resident hunting but I still wonder how much it hurts MY chances of filling a tag.
I wish I had an answer to this issue but I don't really know what would be the correct solution. We all are owners of "public" lands and all should have access to the utilization of "public" lands regardless of where you are a resident. Hard to make a decision.
