I agree, but some powders seem to expedite throat erosionI don't have a 25-7PRC, but I can't imagine a cartridge that overbore having good barrel longevity. Any time you build that much pressure in that confined of a space, you will almost certainly erode the throat quickly, regardless of powder.
What? Are you not keeping up with Bruce's wildcat?I'm seeing one in the near future then with a 7 twist
Oh the thought has crossed my mindWhat? Are you not keeping up with Bruce's wildcat?I already have a name for it for you: "KMABF." L

What capacity difference is there versus 257 STW?

Pretty much the same capacity without the belt. Just playing with the idea. What capacity difference is there versus 257 STW?
*it's not like you aren't familiar with a .277 version!
I just can't get over .532" diameter, having had such good results at .551 and .555
I did mention it to a certain guy a while back about introducing a new line of cartridges that were quite a bit longer than WSM instead of just a little bit longer..
Hornady….whatsa matta wit chu????
And yes I do have the .277 version already so that kinda stopped me. I keep learning back towards the 25-7prc but then with my 257 Blackbird being a ballistic twin i think I just need to put a 7 twist barrel on it and calling it good. What capacity difference is there versus 257 STW?
