Need to find another sling for hunting rifle. Not looking for the traditional leather padded sling. Looking for a tactical style, adjustable with some elastic to it. I have a TAB Gear on 1 now and it's ok but I don't think they make it anymore. Lots of new companies these days building shooting bags and PRS stuff so wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions? Likes, don't likes, etc.
Thanks

They don't slide, but they make 10-12lb rifles seem more like 7-8, to Me.
The compound used seems just the same after years and years also.

Have you tried the backpack style with the double straps?it's a little bulky but I like the balance of the weight on my shoulders!

If you're wearing a pack I've all but quit relying on a sling and now almost exclusively use a mag dump pouch off my waist belt for the butt stock and a simple web strap with quick release clip attached to the d ring at top of my shoulder strap to hold the forearm. The gun stays put under my arm and the muzzle is in view so i can easily see if it is going to clear brush when i lean over vs snagging on something out of view behind me. This allows me to have both hands free and puts the weight on my hip... much more comfortable for all day carry.

It doesn't have any elastic to it but the Magpul MS4 convertible sling is fantastic, its a quick disconnect with lock so it wont accidentally come undone, can be used as a single point or two point sling. You can also get QD attachments if you don't like the hook style.

I like single points for carrying because with a attachment point right behind or above the pistol grip you have the most control over the muzzle, and you can shift the weight left/right/up/down by rotating the sling around your shoulders. You can carry the rifle muzzle up/down on the left or right side and even toss it on your back fairly comfortably. It should be noted a single point works best on shorter rifles unless you are really tall then it doesn't matter.

And of course since its a convertible sling if you want to you can switch it to a 2 point and really tighten it down on your back if you need both hands for climbing.

I lamented for some time about trying the sling system First Lite offers…..I think it is offered under the FHF Gear name. A bit expensive YES it is but worth every penny you spend on it. Should hold is awesome, adjustability great, various colors, cool, comfortable you bet. I know I only needed one but they are so well thought out and effective I bought a second one. Also if you are a backpack hunters they attach to a pack with ease and have a quick release feature that is nice.
