10mm handgun

If "ANYONE" thinks that they will get more than 2 or 3 shots (revolver or auto) into an attacking bear….. likely starting shooting long before the attack was imminent!

How do you spell……"justifiable shooting"! 😉 memtb
This guy might say otherwise...I'm definitely prepared to shoot as many time as necessary and possibly reload if I have the chance.

Being prepared, and in reality having the opportunity are different sides of the coin!

I'd much rather have a couple of well placed, high horsepower, heavy, wide metplat bullets over a spray and pray scenario any day! Jus Say'n!

But, once again…..to each his/her/they/them/it (🤪) own! memtb

Going to be elk hunting southwest Montana coming season, backup bear protection.I know just better than a sharp stick ,but!
Bow hunting I take it?

If so, then G20 in a Gun Fighter Kenai chest holster and Buffalo Bore ammo. Night sights as well.

If not for bow hunting, then just carry your rifle and call it a day.

I went with a Tisas D10 2 tone. Wanted the 1911. I see they came down in price a bit. I believe they can be had for around $700.00 now. I have a Glock. Just don't like the feel.
Same with me. Bought the Tisas 1911 in 10mm and could not believe the accuracy for the price. Sold my Glock 20 in 10mm..

I think I'm going to have to ignore this thread. I may hurt my pocket otherwise!

I agree, however, those well placed shots under duress in a fast paced situation might be the hardest part of the whole thing, therefore I'd rather have 15 rounds, plus a spare mag on my belt.

I agree. I had a 430-450# black bear come at me hard this year, and when he got within the 10 foot zone, I unleashed 3 rounds. He turned and went quartering away (luckily) as even with 3 rounds in his chest he made it @ 43 yards. I normally carry a 44 mag revolver, but decided to put my XDX on my hip this year. It cycled great, but I will say, I was a little concerned about getting a bang on each trigger pull, which is not normally a concern with my Anaconda. With that said, if I do pull the trigger on the Anaconda and don't get a bang, it is easy to just pull again, instead having to clear a jam.
