Kenton turret

Had one on a 270 short mag and it's great, but to set these up your input is elevation and feet per second. Mine was very close if you decide to go with this make sure you go out verify your scope to the desired yardages at the elevation you are wanting to hunt?

Yes sir, had 2 turrets made for a Nikon Titanium. One was for here in ND at 2000 ft. Other was made for 10,000 ft. Both were right on the money for that A-Bolt chambered in 7mm STW with 150gr barnes. Not my scope or bullet of choice today but that rifle filled a lot of tags over the years.

Yes, I've used them. As stated above,I would verify your drop at your yardage and manually insert the data versus using their tool. Not to say it's wrong, but I like to verify before having the turret engraved.

I've bought 2 and they worked just fine. I no longer use either one and are worthless now. Unfortunately, I have a wondering eye for the latest and greatest bullet and end up switching bullets or switch powders. No I use Turret labels and they work just as good for a quarter of the price.

Turret label how do those work? I mean I assume the obvious but how well do they work and adhere to the turrets. Just seems like it would be cumbersome and not reliable

Check out "Custom Turret Systems". You build the label with your own data. If it is off, it is because there was inaccurate data put in. They are built and adhere very well.

I have them on four rifles, very good product. It is not unusual to be a bit off at one range or the other over the long haul so do shoot out to the max range you want and verify them. Not just Kenton--you have to do that with any turret.
I love them and the price is very reasonable.

Do you need a set for different elevations, weather, and humidity? Seems to me you would. If you do, I think I would stick with dope cards and good ballistic app.

Nah, they're within a minute of vitals to way out there. You need different turrets for a 5-7K elevation change if you want to dial on the 5 for 500 yds, alternately you can test them at the different place and dial 450 for 500 yds. for eg. Temp & weather doesn't make much difference in a hunting scenario so much as significant elevation change. Leopold told friend of mine (he has VX6 HD and that scope comes with a free custom turret if you want one) since he hunts Texas Hill country mostly elevation of 2000 then out in Colorado a good bit too at 8K, just send in velocity, BC and use 4500 as standard elevation. That seemed a bit sloppy to me but hey, they're the engineers. And turns out the dials are pretty close at both locations...so there's that.
