Jason Hairston Passes

Very sad new to hear about the passing of KUIU founder Jason Hairston , our sincerest condolences to the family and friends.

I just got a call from a friend that has some close connections to Kuiu. What a sad situation. Prayers to his family.

I was an admirer of his businesses. He did things I dreamed of. He made a living off his passion. I dream of that! You never know what is behind the man...the struggles, the problems. I hurt for his family--his son that will miss his dad. We are in this life to smooth our stone--to become more complete--sometimes the smoothing process takes its toll...RIP you will be missed, by a lot of us in the outdoor community--and I know by your family!

Just wanted to provide an update on this situation, based on this report from his wife it appears his mental state was headed downhill very quickly due to CTE prior to his death.
