Like I said a pull camper and a slide in camper would be the best of both worlds. Take which ever one that is right for the situation.
Take the trailer when the weather is right and the camper when it is going to be stormy.
I had a slide in pop up. Worked fine until you get really bad weather. Hard to keep warm and if you need to take your truck instead of an ATV you need to re organize everything to lower the top to travel then re-level and set it up again when you return.
Now I have a toy hauler. Hauls the ATV...
I understand what you are saying but i have full length sized brass on my 300 WBY and had some that wouldnt chamber when I was done that came out of the same gun. Pulled bullets and set the shoulder back a bit further then there was no issue,
Dont know why.
If you have a bullet puller, pull a bullet and see if the case fits in the chamber and you can close the bolt. If you can close the bolt without a bullet then you probably have the bullet set too far out.

Bought my son Kuiu gear for christmas and got myself a new Kuiu Quik Down coat for myself for casual use. It only weighs a few ounces and is very warm but but I dont think it would make it past lunch time on opening day of hunting season. Only wore it a few times and I have a rip that is molting...
Make sure you try it out for size first. I went on a bear hunt in Alberta and purchased a lightweight bag that would be light and easy to travel with. It wasn't made in America but a Korean made bag or something. I made sure it was an extra long bag so there would not be a problem with with the...
I live in Wyoming. If Elk are the main critter, bring the 300 and the 7 as a backup. If you decide to throw in Antelope or Deer the 6.5 would be a good choice also. So either way would work. The 300 and the 7 as a backup or the 6.5 as a backup. You will be set for prairie dogs thru Grizzly...
