What gun did you want that was never made ?

Sounds silly, but I really want ruger to release the gp100 in .44 mag. It's a super accurate wheel gun from the factory that can be slicked up without too much trouble. I always loved the profile and weight. Now to just get ruger to scale it up maybe 5% and offer it in .44mag.

OK all, little advice. I am building a new rifle with the fellas from X-Caliber barrels and am having a hard time settling on the exact cartridge. First a few points of info. 1. The barrel is already 30". 2. It's set in a 6.5mm bore 3. Its set to a 1 in 8 RH twist 4. Its a heavy varmint...

    Whats with 3.5k ?

So your point is that the extra 500fps extends the useable killing range by near 200 yards? Ok cool I can see that point. I had not looked at energy at range and compaired the same selections. I had blindly loked at fps and was a bit disappointed. Its not that I don't want to shoot a larger...

Model Seven .308 thinking about rebarrelling

I am very happy with my barrel, its 1/12 rh 24" long chambered in .308. It seams to be a good combo for the 168's you load. As for the barrel make ill leave that to someone else whom knows more than I. Happy hunting.

    Whats with 3.5k ?

I am fairly new to serious shooting. This is to say im 34 years old and have been hunting and shooting in one fashion or another since arround 7 when I got my first bb gun. I have within the last 5 years just come to understand how little I knew about the science of shooting. It all started when...

Berger Bullets needs your advice - please help

Most serious shooters would agree that a box of 100 is a small enough if not too small a lot size. The peole that would argue for a box size of 50 are either new to shooting or new to your product. Either way they will be pleasently surprised once they fire your bullets much as I was. Keep the...

Which guns do you use for predator hunting?

I have a gp100 in .357 that i love to kill dogs with. I always carry it along with either my ar or my bolt gun. The choice of the second rifle depends on the area I am hunting. In easter WA. I usually bring the bolt gun in western WA. I stick to the ar, these choices are more baised on the...

    Long Range Shooting Advice

Look into a FN Pbr. The list price is a bit high but their out there to be found for much less, I paid arround 700 for mine. They come stock with a decent and adjustable trigger 2-6 lbs I think. They also sport a hammer forged barrel and full aluminum block bedding. The rifle has impressed most...

    300 H&H Bullet weight selection?

Recently my father and I were to a range to shoot. Me with my .308 FN Pbr and he with his 300 H&H. We had fun the likes that we havent seen together in years. Problem is now hes hooked.
