OK all, little advice.
I am building a new rifle with the fellas from X-Caliber barrels and am having a hard time settling on the exact cartridge. First a few points of info.
1. The barrel is already 30".
2. It's set in a 6.5mm bore
3. Its set to a 1 in 8 RH twist
4. Its a heavy varmint contour.
5. I want to run a box mag.
6. I want to send the 143 X-eld.
7. The barrel is going on a Rem 700 SS long action. Original a .280
Now am asking for advice on exact chamber.
6.5-280AI, 6.5-06AI, ect.......?
Having a hell of a time getting all the facts together on this one as it is my first wildcat build. In advance guys thanks for the support and comments.
