I just got my first Mil dot scope and really like it. I'm still working on thinking in mils instead of inches, but all the ballistics calculators I have tried let you select either and my MilDot Master gives me the conversion if all I know is the inches.

wow, nobody mentioned shooting a man at any range. Physically there isn't much difference in size between a 'man-sized target' and a 'deer sized target', one is portrait and one is landscape. Not sure which button we pushed, no offense was intended. Some of us 'grew up' shooting at 'man-sized...

I have a Savage 111 in .30-06 and an AR-15 with a 20" Heavy Bbl ( 1 in 8" twist). The Savage will be getting a new bbl, 22" sporter gets hot in about 1.5 shots and has the tupperware stock. The AR will probably see a lot more use, for the time being at least. I'll check out the Hornady, thanks!

It could be a gas issue, but I'd probably try a standard buffer spring first. You might also want to check to make sure it has a standard weight buffer as well.

Yeah I know! If I hadn't just purchased an AR-15 I'd be looking at a 6BR one of the guys is selling. Might pursue it more next year. :cool:
