I have a friend that has a 6.5 PRC. It is a fantastic shooting rifle. Recoil not to bad. My friend shoot a 300 yard group at just under 1 inch. Pretty darn good. I have a 6.5x284 that shoots a 130 nosler accubond at 1/4 inch all day long . Good luck. Just my opinion
I have used the 165 & 180 nosler ballistic tip s.
Reloader22 . OAL3.410 in my Ruger . Nothing but great accuracy. The charge is 75.0 of R22. Mild recoil for a win mag. Be safe. Load has shot well in numerous rifles tried in. Be safe and work up to it. You will not be disappointed!!!!
Bullet data if H4895 used for that bullet use 60percent of max charge. You can call hodgdon if you don't believe me. I have done with a 7mm-08 and a 243. Both loads were 1/2 moa at 100yards
Call ER SHAW in Bridgeville, pa . If you blue it yourself you can get a new barrel chambered to your choice and twist and threaded for probably under 3 hundred dollars.
I inherited a 6.5x06. it's an absolute tack driver. With 140 to 160 weight bullets. It's on a thumbhole stock. I am left handed and it's right handed. Built on a Mauser action with an ER SHAW BARREL 26 INCHES LONG AND FLUTED. CALL THEM AND ASK. IT would probably run around 1500
I have called Lapua and told the what caliber and bullet I am shooting and they have emailed me a data sheet with load data for a out 10 different powders. Give them a try
Just got a bunch from Midway. Price good and shipping and hazmat were good. After everything powder ended up less than$50 a pound. Pretty good these days
I use the 143 eld in my 6.5 creedmoor with a charge anywhere between 41.5 and 42.6 of H4350. Federal 210m primers and Hornady brass. Oal of 2.826 in a savage model 10. 1/2 moa
The 270 built by ER SHAW I believe is second to none. I own one and it has helped me kill whitetails in PA out to over 700 yds with one shot and down with 150 Sierra Game King. The price is right for sure and it is AN EXCELLENT RIFLE. GOOD LUCK AND GOOD SHOOTING!!!
