To update my earlier post, rifle sent in 1/31, just received the notification today it's on the way back after having been rebarreled and test fired. Test targets provided show 1/2 minute 3-shot groups with Hornady 147gr ELD-M. Will have to break in the new barrel again, but not a problem if...

I'm at 50gr IMR4350 behind a 100NBT for 3250 in a 24" bbl .257AI, I would think a .25-06 would do that or a bit better with the appropriate charge for your rifle. My particular rifle likes the 100gr NBT and Hornady Interlock with IMR4350, it also likes the 110 Accubond and H4350 at 3240fps.

Speaking of SST's, I use the 165gr out of my 30-06 over H4350 for about 2850mv. VERY accurate out of a factory original M700 Classic 24" bbl, and it really hammers deer and hogs. Someone earlier posted the SST seems to be a "modernization" of the Interlock, I would agree with that...

I've used the 154gr in 7mm RM and the 100gr in a .257AI, both worked well but I kept them to broadside heart/lung shots. Both exhibited good accuracy. My Dad used the 154gr 7RM bullet to take his largest whitetail in South Texas years ago at a bit over 400yds. IMHO, they are solid, economical...
