It's not a full magnum action I guess. Tikka actions are all the same, but it has a magnum bolt face which as I understand it, is needed for the PRC.

Thanks. Its certainly is easier to find a left handed non magnum bolt face if i wanted to add the ai in addition to one of the others.

That's a good point and something to consider. Redsnake Tactical bottom model would solve that as it goes to 3.50 OAL in AICS magazines.

Left handed with a barrel thick enough to thread properly are not all that easy to find unfortunately. I do appreciate your thoughts on non-belted magnums though.

That's kind of why the 7RM is even in the picture. The potential to upsize if needed and the opportunity to downsize if needed. I don't pretend to have the intimate knowledge on how effective uploading and downloading is, but in my mind it makes sense.
