I am using a Tikka T3 Stainless Lite in .270 WSM with a Weaver Grand Slam 3-10x40 scope. The whole thing only weighs 7.25 lbs. (great for walking) and only cost me about $750. This last weekend I took a nice 8 point Texas Whitetail at a lasered distance of 314 yds. I was shooting the 140 Gr...
I'd recommend the Weaver Grand Slam. A 3-10x40 will cost you around $240. That is what I have on my .270 WSM. I used to be a Leupold only guy, but I now have 3 Grand Slams and love each one of them. They are extremely good for the money.
I bought a Winchester Model 70 stainless Classic in .300 Weatherby and just love it. This cheapo gun (<$600) shoots under MOA at 100 yards, even with the cheap synthetic stock it has. I was planning on replacing the stock with a McMillan but have decided to hold off given the great accuracy...
Just purchased this scope for my Marlin 1895 Guide Gun, however, decided to install ghost ring sights instead of a scope. It is new in the box. I am willing to sell it for $50 less than I paid for it a week ago.
Features
- Magnesium fluoride lens coating
- Continuous tension windage and...
I am probably not the best person to answer that question. I do know that I have had better luck with rests than a bipod. I do alot of shooting from the bench developing loads however.

I just bought a Tikka T3 stainless lite in .270 WSM for Texas deer hunting at maximum ranges of about 200-300 yards, load development off of the bench at 200-300 yards, and hopefully a soon to be scheduled pronghorn hunt at possibly even longer range. What scope do you recommend for thsi type of...
Hi Yall,
I am new to this forum, but not new to shooting. I have recently bought a Sako TRG-S in 7.21 Firebird and was really happy until I read all of the horror stories out here about the poor recoil lug and bedding issues. Can someone explain exactly what the issue is with the recoil...
Hey Hill Country! This is Dave from Austin. I have a M700 in plain old blued Sendero in .25-06 that will consistently shoot under 1" @100 yards with std. factory ammo. My handloads are running in the .2's @100 yards. I have done absolutely no work to this gun at all, not even trigger. I...
