Went out the other morning to see if i could get a shot at a Buck that i have stalked into a few times which always seems to be one step ahead of me. This guy hangs out at the end of the ground which is basically open hill with a scattering of young trees. Having arrived at my spot i get set up...

i shoot 140 amax out of my 6.5x284 and so far they have been great most of my shots have been between 300 - 500 yards on Roe,Red & Sika out of the 33 i shot last year i only had one run about 20yards the rest DRT rb

the back legs look ok shame about the front:D rb

i use 140g amax in my 6.5x284 so far i have shot loads at 250-350 yrds and a few futher out red deer 400yrd sika deer 380yrd roe deer 500yrd this was a Roe Deer that i neck shot at 302yrds YouTube - roe buck 302yrds. rb

i have taken Red Deer at 400yrd & Roe Deer at 500yrd with the 140g A-max out of my 6.5x284 the Red deer had no exit and the Roe had an exit the size of a golf ball RB

the extension on the end is an ASE UTRA Sound Moderator i love taking my son and also my two daughters out but the females prefer fishing:D rb

Pete i have also had shot a deer (Roe) which swallowed bailing twine it had jammed in its intestines.Discoverd this once i had gralloched it as i was almost sick with the rotting smell!! ohh nice set up on the 4x4 rb

Natty The Bucks start on the 1st of April and end on the 20th of October and Does start 21st oct and end 31st of March ( shooting all year round ) i usually leave a few better bucks until the rut ( july/august) they are good fun as you can call them into Bayonet range:D we dont have a tag system...
