    Larry Willis collet die

The die's great, and the gauge tells you without chambering a round if you even need to use the die

    Neck tension

I swore I wouldn't jump into this barrel of hedgehogs, but here I go. On a benchrest rifle I anneal, use a LE Wilson full length bushing die. I use a 21st Century hydro press with a PSI gauge, and an in-line LE Wilson seating die. I want to seat every round to 40psi. I take a wild *** educated...

    Neck tension

Pick two pieces of annealed and turned brass. Full length size with a bushing that gives you .002 neck tension. Now use a bushing .004 smaller. Put them both in an inertia hammer, and the.002 will drop out with the first tap, the one .004 smaller will take four or five sharp blows to remove the...

    Neck tension

Start using a 21 Century Hydro press and a LE Wilson in-line seater and you’ll find out how precisely your bullets are seating. If you’re sizing with a bushing and expanding with a mandrel, they’ll all seat within 5 or so PSI. On my bench guns I shoot for 30 to 50 psi, with a hunting rifle 50 to...

    ChargeMaster scale inconsistent

If you purchase a Creedmoor Sports TRX 925 scale accurate to +or- .01g, you'll see how inaccurate the RCBS is. Sure the RCBS will say 39.5g, but you'll find when you verify the load with an accurate scale it can easily be off by as much as a grain. I've halved my extreme spreads and all my SD's...

How critical is measuring powder to .01 grains

I've been shooting a 6 BRA in 600 benchrest matches reloading Berger 105 hybrids with Varget. I was using a RCBS Chargemaster, and would see ES of around 20 and an SD right around 10. I started trickling with the RCBS and verifying and correcting with a Creedmoor Sports TRX 925, and all my ES...

How critical is measuring powder to .01 grains

Creedmoor sports has a great digital scale to .01. I found my RCBS Chargemaster was inaccurate by a gr. It would show 30.3 and when verified with the Creedmoor scale it would be 29.3.

    RCBS charge master lite inconsistency

I've had mine give off screwy readings. I removed the black base that holds the pan and found a grain of powder wedged in between the base providing friction that would throw it off. Removed it with a dental tool and it fixed it instantly.
