    Barrel pre-fits for Savage

Well the chambering I'll get crap for but... 7PRC, 1:8, 5R was what I had in mind.

    Barrel pre-fits for Savage

I have never heard of X-Caliber. Glad to hear there's plenty of competition in the barrel world. Sounds like lots of good experiences with criterion

    Barrel pre-fits for Savage

Lots of barrel makers seem to do pre-fits for Savage. Krieger, Criterion, Mcgowen, Proof, Preferred, etc. Any favorites? Any particular ones to stay away from? Experience working with them? I'm partial to Bartlein but am trying a pre-fit for a particular build. So please share your knowledge...

    6.5 CM loads with N150?

I should add that at this point I already loaded some up at 2.754" and did 31-35 grns of N150 so we'll see where that gets me. Was just wondering how many of you out there already did some experimenting with 6.5cm and VV.

    6.5 CM loads with N150?

Loading up some new 6.5cm loads with Nosler 140 BT. Trying out VihtaVuori since I have tons of it and it's everywhere. Saving the H4350 for my .30-06 at this point. I'm trying to find load data for some N150 but my Nosler, Hornady, and Lyman book don't show any N150 and my VV book is showing a...

    Which bolt Action?

Assuming budget isn't a factor...anybody have hands on experience with Defiance, Terminus, GA precision, etc. actions? Worth the money or not?

    Which bolt Action?

For just the action with bolt, probably $500-600. Complete rifle.. $1100-1200 or so

    Which bolt Action?

Trying to decide who to go with for my next rifle. What actions have you guys run that you've absolutely loved? Full custom action or mainstream manufacturer? I'm wanting to get just the action if possible since I'm planning on a Bartlein barrel and custom stock. However I'm also considering...

    30 Nosler vs 300WM vs 300PRC

My priorities are namely- Enough downrange velocity/energy for elk up to 800 yds Capability of repeatable shooting for fun at 1k+ yds Availability of all reloading components to crank out more than enough rounds than I have time to shoot. The last one is becoming more important these days...

    30 Nosler vs 300WM vs 300PRC

I always reload everything so factory ammo isn't a factor. Just wondering if you noticed one burns more efficiently than the other or anything like that. I'd like to stay away from a RUM as I just don't quite need that much horsepower. Also at least in my area, everybody and their kitchen sink...

    30 Nosler vs 300WM vs 300PRC

You guessed it...can't decide what my next .30 cal magnum should be. Trying to consider everything as a whole as far as velocity, energy, brass availability, reloading sensitivity, etc. I'm also tossing around other 30 magnums but I keep coming back to these three. Any recommendations or thoughts?

    Hammer Bullets and twist recommendations

I had a chance to measure some Hammers to comparably weighted Hornady ELD's and found the length difference was negligible. However I didn't really think about the monolithic construction having such a big factor in the matter. Regardless, I would always rather have "too much" stabilization...

    Hammer Bullets and twist recommendations

After hearing and seeing so many successes with the hammer hunters I thought I might get a couple boxes for a couple of my rifles. As I was perusing their products I was noticing that they recommend a very aggressive twist for bullets that aren't even at the heaviest side of the spectrum...

    Bino Case opinions?

Vortex makes a reasonably priced torso harness that has the case sit on your chest and works great no matter how many layers and puts it right where you need it at all times. No rubbing even after days of constant use. Doesn't interfere with rifle slings.
