Lots of barrel makers seem to do pre-fits for Savage. Krieger, Criterion, Mcgowen, Proof, Preferred, etc. Any favorites? Any particular ones to stay away from? Experience working with them? I'm partial to Bartlein but am trying a pre-fit for a particular build. So please share your knowledge...

I should add that at this point I already loaded some up at 2.754" and did 31-35 grns of N150 so we'll see where that gets me. Was just wondering how many of you out there already did some experimenting with 6.5cm and VV.

I always reload everything so factory ammo isn't a factor. Just wondering if you noticed one burns more efficiently than the other or anything like that. I'd like to stay away from a RUM as I just don't quite need that much horsepower. Also at least in my area, everybody and their kitchen sink...
