I like the gift card idea. Just look online for what sports stores are near him. Academy, Sportsman Warehouse, Bass Pro etc. Most guys like to make their own decisions. He may still refuse that. At least your not stuck with something you don't use and can go treat yourself

T Thats no good....a lot of my opportunities in thick woods are close on driven deer and target acquisition has to be quick and spot on...sounds like no place for FFP reticle.

What kind of problems with FFP for in close hunting especially woods?

I'm shooting a 30 yr old Browning Abolt in 7mmrem. 26" barrel. I get 1/2" groups at 100yds using 162gr Hornady ELDX bullet. Using 70.5 grs of IMR 7977 get 3100 fps, with CCI 250 primer. AWESOME!!!
