I will be interested to see how your load develops. I have had lapua brass on back order for some time now. I wonder if guys are stock piling it. I thought maybe the popularity of the 6.5 CM would take the pressure off of the 260 brass market, but perhaps it is doing the opposite.

I ordered some when I had a good Brownell's coupon. Still on back order :/ If they ever arrive I will post a review.

I suspect wiser minds than mine will chime in, but I find slight ring marks to be aesthetic. More significant ring marks might indicate over torque, mis-aligned rings, or other badness that could compromise the tube or mess up lense alignment. Seems to me most rings, unless lapped to perfection...

I am aware this is a fairly old thread. In my search for a jack of all trades scope, the Burris XTR II 3-15 is looking good. I am curious if anyone has input on the visibility of the g2b mil reticle at low power in wooded surroundings.

I feel like I have read every post on the www regarding ffp vs sfp. Seems like I hear "personal preference" and "best suited to your use" a lot. Will I need to range at all magnifications? Will I lose the reticle at lower magnifications? Is the greater cost justified? I feel like I can't answer...

You are correct, in the 3-15 and 4-20 I am looking at the Burris Veracity. The Leopolds I am considering are 4.5-14 and 6.5-20.
