Perception is everything

This one is a McGowan 28” 1/8 twist SS with their match 300wm chamber

I never tried anything shorter than .095” jump. Started at .020” short of mag length and backed it up from there. Feeds great, shoots great and kills fast. Won’t feed it anything else. Switching all my rifles over to sbd’s as time allows 243 is next

.105” jump to .115” jump. Mag feeding in my 300wm with the 205gr sbd2’s

Nice thing about monos is the consistency. You can get nice consistent results with just coal. With my rifle I have a .010” window that was 1/2 Moa. Center of that window was 1/4. For me that seating depth has stayed constant and I haven’t had to chase. Even with over 700 rounds now on this...

I had the same issue when I started load work. Then I did a much finer seating depth test in .005” increments with 2 shot groups. Ended up better than 1/4 Moa out to 800. Once I found a better seating depth with 2 shots I verified with 5

The arken ep5 is built like a tank! Tracks flawlessly. Mounted mine on my 300wm, on a 20Moa rail and with 20Moa one peace mount. Was still able to have 100 yard zero, have taken it to 2000+ yards multiple times now. It’s heavy at just over 38oz’s

You can most certainly get it too soft but you can’t burn the zinc out. You can melt it down and bring it to a boil but you can not remove ( burn) the zinc out. Sounds like you completely misunderstood my post
