I've killed deer with multiple calibers and looked long at 6mm or 25 cal. Just like a bigger bullet diameter. Don't really want to use a brake due to how loud they are. There effective, I just have sensitive hearing. Would the 284 be worth considering??? Lack of factory ammo but should be easy...

Yes it's standard bolt size. Really favoring the 7 mauser but caint find brass for it. hence the 280 choice. I can find brass for it.

Planning on building a rifle for deer and hog hunting. Going to be using a remington long action. Shots will be no longer than 350 yards, wanting to use either 6.5 or 7mm with a low recoil and muzzle blast. Planning on something the grandkids can shoot. I'm thinking 140gr bullets or less...

Savage 110 in 270 with synthetic stock. Killed my only elk with it but man it kicked. Lol.

Thats why I like one that the bolt locks on it is because I've lost rounds on the way to deer stand. The bolt would open and drop down and cartridges will fall out, or the bolt would be slightly open when you went to shoot.

Ok, so I might have to settle on a single stage trigger then??? Well there are worser problems to have. Yes I want the bolt locked when the safety is on.

The triggertech 2 stage??? It's got the space to add it on huh?

I'm planning on doing a rifle build on a remington 700. The rifle has a bolt lock on it, ( locks action closed) which I want to keep. What aftermarket triggers will work with that?? I'd prefer a two stage trigger and have been looking at timney triggers.
