I know this is a 4 year old thread, but with the release of the 7mm prc today, this is more what I had in mind, except with a .284 bullet instead of a .308. A short action launching 180g 7mm projectiles at 3000-3100 fps is what I want and need...

I know this is old, but I'm shooting a 20" carbon proof on a m70, 300 wsm, 205 berger @ 2800fps. Shoots .3-.4 moa consistently. 60g of h4350 and the berger just barely into the lands (.005) I'd say go for it. I love this rig.
