In my 300 RUM, I have had very good performance with the Scirocco 180 at both short and long range on whitetail deer

My kreiger is a 1:7 26" stainless and shoots 156 grain eol elite hunter in a 100 yard group .3 moa. It shoots the 153 a tips .2 moa at 100. 6.5 prc built on a rem 700 magnum action.

My 1:7twist kreiger barrel likes the 156 EOL ELITE HUNTER moving at 2868 fps. Only shot 1 deer this past season but they dropped him in his tracks at 155 yards

I have had good luck with Montana Extreme Bore Solvent. Just my 2 cents.

I use 180 grain scirocco over IMR 7828 and 215 M primers that chrono's at 3227 feet per second. Works great out to 1200 yards.

For me, it has to do with what I am hunting. For longer ranges on elk, I use either my 300 zrum or my 6.5 PRC. They both weigh in pretty heavy. For deer at medium ranges, zI would take either the 6.5 or my 30-06. Taken a lot of animals with all of them
