I'm new to deer hunting, I shot my first deer last fall from a tree stand at 66 yards using the Tac 15i. Complete double lung pass thru, the deer ran about 30 yards. Searched a long time and never found the arrow. Suspect it is deep under the gound.
Thanks for all the advice Guys. ---When the weather warms up here in Northern Ontario I will try moving the scope rings as close as possible. Hopefully this will be enough for 20 yard shooting. Even if I need to use a higher mill dot on the scope for 20 yards I can live with that. Paul
Jon -- I got my Tac shooting bullets with a bare arrow shaft at 10 feet. However the bow was shooting way too high even for the largest Burris Signature rings to correct at 20 yards. Therefore I was forced to shim the front of the scope with two strips of duct tape and extra long screws thru the...
Jon -- You should write a comprehensive description complete with pictures on how to set up and tune the Tac 15i. I myself have done the the paper tuning preceedure only to find my Tac was shooting over a foot high at 20 yards. Therefore I shimmed the front of my scope and adjusted my arrow rest...
For field points I am very pleased with my Morrell Bone Collector target. It is holding up very well and easy to pull out the arrows. I keep adding Gorilla Duck Tape to the out side in well used areas. As for Broad heads I bought a CPK 200 King... This target has not stood up well and is very...
I would try pulling the draw string to the left while you are cranking. This will cause the draw string to wind on the spool evenly and not bunch up.

I live in Ontario and own a Tac 15i . There is no problem with the Tac 15i . However the Tac 15 would be classified as restricted because of the AR 15 lower unit . The local bow shop sells the Tac15i and has one on display.
I am new to archery however I am the proud owner of a Tac 15i cross bow. I bought a Bitzenburger Fletching Jig to repair many of my damage arrows. When I install the fletching should it be parallel with the shaft or a slight angle to the length of the shaft ? Paul
Hi Jon -- I just bought three Aerobolt II 200's with standard three vane fletching. And yes I have altered my weaver rail. I shot the three arrows and one vane broke on two of the three arrows. I have a drop away arrow rest that I believe works well. I paid to have the arrows spine indexed. I...
Just bought my first bow this fall. Because of a torn rotator cup I decided on the Tac 15i. I have installed all the recommended mods to increase accuracy. Shortened the Weaver Rail installed the HHA optimizer - Qua Drop Away arrow rest --Timney Trigger --Scope level. The bow is amazing at...
Bought a CPK 200 King broadhead target. I am sure it will stand up well however at 60 yards I need to huff and puff quite a bit to pull out the arrows.
