My first load was with Sierra 160's I kept the load the same and switched to 162gn Vmax's tightened the groups up considerably. Looking at the VLD vs the Amax and they look like the same profile other than the Amax having a red plastic tip.
Still supply and demand. Some stores have been bowing to people complaining by price fixing. If a scalper can buy bricks from Walmart then turn around and get double or triple the money for it, the store hasn't set the right price.

I don't check my velocities until I have my load. Going to load some more up tonight and check tomorrow. I don't think it will be a hotrod. The book says the load is in the 2700's but with the 20" barrel probably less than that.
Most shots being between 200 to 400 yards, it will be plenty.
Where have you been the last 3 years. Obama's war on law abiding gun owners sent out a buying panic spree on ammo and guns, as usual .22 ammo took the hardest hit and taking the longest to recover.

Let me know, I have some Varget that I've tried in 3 different rifles. It just so happens the only one that shot it good was the Howa 7mm08 that I traded for this Xbolt but that's not saying much.
