Thanks for all the replies guys! I’ve been looking at a few bullet options. Barnes 100 ttsx Barnes 120 ttsx Sierra 130 game changer Do any of you have any expierence with these in a short barrel/ lower velocity set up like I would be lookin at?

As of right now it’s looking like the 47 will be the one I decide to chop. If I can get this project going I will report back with my findings. In the meantime if any of you have any other input please share!

Do you mind sharing the velocity of the two loads you mentioned? And which powder?

I have looked into the SST chambering quite a bit. That may be an option for a future build. For now I’m trying to avoid a rebarrel or rechamber job as I’m having another match rifle being built currently.

Ah, yes I can see a 1:8 twist barrel in the future for this rifle in mind of the 170 berger! I just don't think the factory 1:10 would quite be enough to stabilize it.
