My go-to .223 off the shelf ammo is Black Hills 50gr V-max. I have killed LOTS of yotes with that ammo. Some folks say the 50gr Vmax will "splash" if it hits the shoulder or rib bones. Never had a issue personally. This dog I shot a couple of weeks ago in Idaho at 276 yards with the above ammo.

Woke up yesterday morning and decided I had not gone coyote hunting in a while and had noting bettering to do. Sat around procrastinating whether to go or not, and finally decided to load up and get at it. With my late start, I did not figure on having much luck...but there are way more ways...
