    Help: Load problem

I am having a problem getting a load to work in my fireformed brass. My fireforming load is 43gr RL22 and a berger 105 seated to fit my magazine. It shoots .25 MOA out to 800 yards. I kneck sized the brass with a redding knecksizing die, kept my seating depth the same and I am getting 8 to...

    Does it count?

The dogs are purebred pitbulls, the rifle is a Rem 700 chambered in 300 weatherby using 178 Amax and 82.6 gr RL22. The place isn't for sale and the wife only has brothers. My mother-in-law is single though; and it looks like your far enough away

    Does it count?

Does it count if you disable a coyote and your dogs finish it off, I hope so. Finally had a coyote go through that I seen and could get a shot off at. It was going along a fenceline that runs between two fields in front of the house that I have ranged. The fence is 700 yards at the north end...

Muley at 580 yards pics now

It's the second day of deer season, still snowing for the fourth day in a row which made counting points near impossible over four hundred away and I was hoping to get a deer over 500 this year. Got my cows fed by 4 O-clock and noticed that it was clearer than it had been so I fired up the...

    Does a Lead tip melt?

Pulled a bullet out of an animal that had the tip apparently melted off. That and the rifling marks were the only signs of it being fired thtough a rifle. The bullet came out of the hind qaurter of a moose and was a sierra Gameking 165 used in a 30-06. The tip looks the same as federals...

    Long range wind

I haven't got a wind meter yet but the ones I have looked at say that you haveto have them facing directly into the wind to get an accurate reading. Would holding it parallel to your sight line give you the affective wind speed on you bullet. If this is the case than you wouldn't haveto...

    Bad luck area

My cousin came out yesterday with his new scope so we put it on his 243 to try it out. Sighted it in at 100yds then I loaded my ballistics program for it. Dailed it in for 400 and he tried a shot. Too late to walk out so we dailed in for 700 and we each tried a couple then had supper so it was...

    Bad luck area

Some of the bucks have. Haven't had the time to go out and really check on them in the last month. Last time I was out in my back field there was about a 100 of them and the bucks still had their antlers.

    Bad luck area

6.5AM with 150 Wildcats. The wife only helps gut them if she goes out with me. She don't count doing dishes and looking out the window as hunting.

    Bad luck area

Thats what I am working at but the wife says I can't afford the rifle just yet, not that its stopping me from talking to Kirby on prices and such. Good reason for a new rifle( the 300 Weatherby won't knock um down out there Honey)!

    Bad luck area

Eight months untill deer season for me and I'm stuck watching them. I have a buck about 900 yards off my front porch and every time I walk past the livingroom window I see him. The bugger has been there all week. The rest of the herd should be out shortly. You guys that haveto travel to hunt...

    $300 - $500 Tactical scope

Have any of you tried A1 Optics, Thats about all that is in my price range at the moment. They have the target turrets on the 6-24x50mm. A little heavy but the weight helps on recoil.

    Barrel length for 22-250

Thanks for all the input. Looks like anything over 26in wouldn't help much with factory ammo.

    Barrel length for 22-250

What would be the optimum barrel length for a 22-250 shooting factory 55gr bullets. Want to keep one rifle I can just buy for.
