Well when I was hunting over there before I moved over here, it was crowded.
Blacktail deer you didn't want to be anywhere near a town or.city. Hunter just flocked into the area that were close. Blacktails are really hard to hunt. If you see a buck you better take it cause it may ne the only one your going to see. Not cause there are a lot of them, it just they hide in some of the most nasty jungle rhey can find and they are hard to get to and they seem to go right into nocturnal mode opening day.
Elk hunting in the Cascades can be good but again you have really got to get away from roads and others.
The coast range now those are some steep hills. There is nothing flat and it's.just a big jungle. Alot of Elk though.

Nice I wish the Columbia basin unit wasn't 90% private although I have a few farms and private land I can hunt on it still sucks.
