What is Putin long term goal for America ? I have yet to hear him say it. Or are you repeating what the media tells you what they think he wants ? He has stated he wants no more Nato expansion into his territory. Which is a legit request as far as I see it. I don't see Putin here in the US trying to change my way of life. But I do see the lunes in DC & NATO doing so.
So we should back this same Govt even though I see them as wrong ? The US didn't care for Russia being in Cuba back in the day. But we shouldn't gauge that same logic when it comes to NATO & Russia ? He has also stated he doesn't agree with the US pushing their DEMOCRACY on the rest of the world. I also agree. I have no love for the so called DEMOCRACY we have.
I'd like to know what these people are invested in. Bonds sucked because of interest rates but all the major stock indexes are above where they were in 2020. I'm not defending Brandon but it is what it is.

It's very imperfect for sure, but I'll take our democracy over any other form of government in the world right now. If ours wasn't the best, we wouldn't be having all these conversations about immigration, because people would be leaving here to immigrate to other countries. That hasn't been the case for hundreds of years and it's not the case now. Can't remember where I heard this quote but it's accurate in my opinion "our system of government sucks, but everyone else's sucks a whole lot more"

Eye roll. There are all manner of academic analysis on this and you can find one that fits whatever you want. I like "representative democracy" but we both know that the academic wordplay is not the point being made here. Our system of government is most certainly flawed. It is less flawed than other forms in the world. If all the borders of the world were open for a day and anyone could go anywhere and become a citizen, where would almost everyone choose? I'll give you a hint, Russia would not be it. Or china. Or Germany. Or the democratic people's republic of Congo.
When you devalue the dollar it decreases the worth of your 401k. Its pretty common knowledge most people have lost a significant amount in there 401 under biden. It all depends how much you have invested and where. But average people lost 20-25%
