Let’s see those Smokeless builds!!

Chris that is one sharp long gun! Thinking "Ceruleus" will be accurate across several
zip codes.
Best of luck in the Kentucky Challanges.

Be safe, be well. Tommytrees
Thanks buddy! I shot some groups with it yesterday at 200 yards just to foul the barrel really good prior to any 'serious' bullet sizing. I used data (IMR 8208 XBR) courtesy of @ENCORE. I was extremely pleased with what I saw. 😁

I was looking at one, but the laws are changing. The other is I don't feel what was intended to be used as. You have left the black powder into smokeless powder. A big difference. At the same time it's turned into a real long range rifle.

Feels like an extension of you. The full adjustability and fit/feel of the stock is amazing.

Jeff Hankins!
Keep us posted on performance and range sessions. I expect to hear your name called by Jeff as #1 overall shooter in the next KY challenge. Good luck. I would love to show up for that one

That's a mighty tall order there, brother. There's quite a few more experienced SML shooters there, but I'll give 'em a run for their money…..you can bet on that. 😇

Hmm, it isn't called black powder hunting here. It's muzzleloader season. So it fits. And this is a long range site.

With respect, I think I can speak for the others on this thread by saying THAT is your opinion and you're certainly entitled to it…..but NOT on this thread. This thread is entitled, "Let's see those Smokeless builds" and not "Let's hear opinions on Smokeless builds." If you'd like to discuss opinions on the validity of SML rifles and their place then go start your own thread on that.
However, I do thank you for the compliment you gave "our" rifles. 👍
saw earlier in this thread about powders, mine loves benchmark, wont publish the charge but it is magic in the stouter powder charge guns 4198 is like scouting for unicorn rubs!

This is about smokless Muzzleloaders thread.
I realize that, but never the less most states it's not legal anymore. People get to running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
Thingingh oboy I can hunt black powder season. Most state no now or becoming that way.

Okay. With all due respect, Mike it would "seem" that you may not agree/approve of SML's and that's fine….you're entitled to your own opinion. However, this thread was started ONLY for the purposes of seeing SML builds, talking about SML builds and SHARING INFORMATION concerning SML builds and load data. Kindly go start your own thread about "Opinions/Legalities of Smokeless Muzzleloaders" (or something like that) and let my thread continue as intended please.

Late to the party, and I have no opportunity to hunt with them at the distances that they are capable of today. I started back in 2001 with the Savage ML-1 smokeless and only got into muzzleloading because I didn't have to clean it like a black powder gun. Most shots for where I hunt are under 300 yds. The .50 cal ML-1 was good out to 200 yds, but I switched to a .45 cal ML-II years ago. Pac-Nor barrel and I had it threaded last summer for Kirby Allens Painkiller brakes because I am now shooting the 300g Pittman Aeromax bullets as bore riders. So I think I'm good out to 400 yds. It is NOT a meat friendly bullet under 200 yds though.
