My great-grandfather started farming near Platte Township about 1909. My grandfather farmed near there until the late 40s. When the Rural Electrical Association programs were restarted after WWII, he and a neighbor converted their farm equipment to power line construction equipment and began building power line. That family work continues to this day, now in South Dakota.

I use one in Superior but they max out at 300 and getting down to look at targets is a PITA! Hibbing has a decent range that I believe goes to 500 but you may have to be a member. I always thought Grand Rapids would have one but I have not heard of one there.

The Hibbing range goes out to 600 yards I've heard rumor of grand rapids building a longer one but sounds like funding is the hang up…
