Thats where I figured I'd start. any particular one that stands out?
Leupold VX-6- 3-18×44mm is what I have on my mountain hunting rifle.$1,800.scope.
It weighs 19.0 OZ. I have it on a 6.5 PRC rifle.

That is super light but I am so accustomed to 30 mm tube. I have been using the Vortex 2.5x10x44 with 30mm tube. Still pretty light and good quality

I personally like the Leupold VX6HD 3-18x44 with TMOA reticle. I have three of these on rifles and they have about the best combo of glass, reticle, weight for the money. There are scopes that weigh more that I wouldn't mind (NF comes to mind) but I do like the weight of the scope. VX6HD weighs about 20 ounces.

You may be asking yourself so why am I sweating a few ounces here and there when selecting a scope or another component? The answer is obvious to me. It all starts to add up and 2 miles into a five mile walk with all of your gear you really start to feel it. I am a little surprised that some of the higher end scope companies don't put any focus on this. 25 ounces and below is what I would consider fairly light weight. Swarovski and March come to mind as well as Leupold, Zeiss, and Vortex that make some good scopes in this range. Top end makers such as TT, ZCO, and NF just don't offer anything that I am aware of in this range.

On a 11 pound rifle, putting a 2 pound scope on it isn't a big deal, with a 5 pound rifle it's all different, 30mm tubes seem out of place on a slim lightweight rifle, even on a7.5 lb rifle. And they are always heavier.
