New member from Wisconsin here to the site and long range shooting. Just getting started so expect some stupid questions.
Setup a Volquartsen IF-5 in .17WSM this winter and went on my first prairie dog hunt last week in South Dakota. Fun stuff.
Sold that rifle yesterday and ready to move on to something else.

I hunted SD for PD probably years ago the beginning of May and still had some snow, but lots of shooting. Bet you had a great time. Which part of SD. Private, Guided, Public lands?

Welcome. And remember the only stupid question is the one you don't ask. We all started some place and if you don't know, you can't find out if you don't ask. Guns and ammo are not something that a person wants to make a mistake with. Lots of good knowledgeable members on here. Have fun and be safe.
