Correct.......I am not a Remington guru or trying to discredit your post but I have had a truck load of fire arms over the 35 years and have had several of each. The stock is a GEN1 Sendero and things have been changed around. Are you the original owner who bought it new?

I don't know if this helps but it appears to be identical to the Remington 700 Long Range I purchased new around 4 years ago. I don't know whether there were any significant differences between the PSS and the Long Range though. Either way, mine has been a great gun... sub MOA for sure.

It isn't a long range. A long range has a B&C m40 stock
Not if you replace the stock with an HS. Then the two models look very similar (I had a LR once and put an HS on it and it looked identical to a PSS, but that was a black stock and this one looks to be from a Sendero or ordered direct from HS).

Friend bought new. It's never been fired. It's a PSS. Thanks
Do you know if your friend replaced the original black HS stock with this one by chance? If so, is the original black stock still available? I'm only asking because this does appear to be a different configuration than is typical for the PSS- I'm not intending to call out the integrity of this listing in any way. Thank you for your patience from all of these questions/comments.

This is the original configuration of the rifle as bought new at VA Arms company in Manassas VA. He is looking for any paperwork as he has a bad habit of throwing it away - never shooting the gun than having me sell his guns years later. I have sold numerous guns for him to include one PSS in 338 Lapua. If someone is really interested in purchasing please PM me and I can give you some background for credibility.
Thanks for all the interest and help.
