I saw where they use to use the 7 mm Remington magnum on all sort of game with the 168 berger bullets.now what are they leaning toward as far as caliber and the round ?they seam to kill animals at graet distances.

Used to use is right! :) Then along came the STW 7mm. I did many years of load development on the 7 mag. Then by a chance meeting acquired a before production wildcat stw with a 28 inch barrel.

when chrono testing the stw, right off I had speeds that would have been been blowing primers and the belt on a 7 mag.

It really comes down to what recoil you can handle. It's all a matter of foot pounds of energy.

Maybe they did, then they came out with the 7LRM which they marketed. It was a great round similiar to the 7STW, but the crappy brass from Hornady eventually killed the growth.

Gunwerks is pretty clear in their affinity for the 7s. They still recommend and make a lot of 7 rem mags.

7lrm ,do they still use the Hornady brass or are they getting it from some one else.just asking.i hunt deer with a 300 Winchester 700 mag.
it shoots 3 shot groups to 1.0 in at 100 yards with 180 grain nosler partion bullets now.

I have a7mm LRM I love it, but the brass sucks. The word from them is new brass is coming from a different manufacturer but it won't be available until they use up the brass they have....about a year they think

Surprised they didn't have adg make them 7lrm brass. I bought some 28 nosler gunwerks brass and it is very nice

I also have a 7mm LRM from Gunwerks and just love it. The brass is definitely not he best in the world and you must weight sort it and don't feel bad if you get three or four different piles of brass out of one on there 100 piece bags. the gun shoot great and I made quite a few medium to long range kills with it. If they could get the brass issue resolved I think it will take off again. Just my Opinion.....

I have killed out to 830 with mine. I shot group just under 3 in at 948 In sd after Christmas.....my buddy's said I couldn't hit the rock I stuck that group 2 in left of ctr

They still are 7 pushers. They love the 7mm variants. They also like the 6.5prc for hunting. They don't push the bigger calibers much I don't believe. But they do like the new 250 a tip and are testing that out I believe.
