Had to share this with you guys.

I was just in dicks sporting goods/ field & stream. They had a powder funnel on sale for $3.99. I went to the counter with it and the girl scanned it and then asked me what my birthday was, I told her. I asked why she needed my birth date to buy a $4 plastic funnel? She said I don't know , what's this used for? I said reloading. She said "that's why". Anyway. I just chuckled. Heads up guys, you got to show proof of age to buy cheap plastic funnels at Dicks sporting goods, LOL.
I would never shop there with all the shenanigans they've pulled in the past now they sell certain things but want ID just another reason to shop elsewhere

My list of boycotts are growing all the time. After giving up on Bass Pro, And after going to Cabelas the other day there may be a new addition.

Looks like we are moving towards on line purchases Only, or being happy with what we have.

I miss the small owner ran Gun shops that knew all of their customers and all about the gun business.

O well, as Clint Eastwood would say, "adapt and overcome"

I stopped buying ANYTHING from Dicks quite awhile back!

I live in a rural state with heavy % of gun owners and a lot of hunting and shooting opportunities available. First after waiting years for a Cabelas to move up here, then the take over by Bass Pro, now its not worth the drive unless you know they have what you are going for. dicks who is closer, now has an anti gun and hunting attitude that shows on the clerks faces as soon as you mention anything related. Most don't look like they have ever held or shot a gun. They have sold out to the anti gun crowd and do anything to please them. Sad but the day of the mom & pop stores has returned for the ones still in business, my favorite is an older married couple who run a shop and will get you anything you need. Problem is they can't stock the inventory and often have to order. They will stock what I frequently buy and I try to give them business cause their on my side in this battle. This in a state where hunting and shooting is a tradition, I can only imagine whats its like in some states. Dave
Ditto. I do the same thing even if I have to pay more for it!

I buy my components on line, buy enough so hazmat fee is no problem. MidSouth will ship you 4 jugs of powder for one hazmat fee. I do have a local. seller that does it the old way: put your goods on the counter and pay. The only controlled purchases are guns.
Powder Valley is also great to deal with when buying powder! They'll actually hold it for you when it comes in if it's back ordered!

I had to go to Dick's at my old job (Armored Truck), and the only two things I like/d about going were: 1. One of the managers ,"Vi", makes leather holsters (or anything else leather you'd like) as her own business, and 2. Occasionally, I'd be in there while a Sturgill Simpson song was playing... ;)

They said that semi-auto rifles were so evil that they were, not only no longer going to sell them, but they we're going to destroy the inventory they had rather than Return them to the distributors/manufacturers because they could be sold elsewhere. Why in the name of Sam Colt would they have a powder funnel? What if someone took one of those into a school, post office or mosque?

Your first mistake was going to Dicks Sporting Goods. ;)

I have a rule that this type of information is not necessary and if ask, I simply tell them "No" and if they need it to sell me the item I politely leave it at the register and say No thanks.

Some things are none of anyone's business :) and apparently, they don't need mine.

I stopped my regular spending of hundreds of dollars at Dick's, when they announced that they of course support the 2nd Amendment, they just don't want to sell the types of guns that would be used by a Militia. Haven't set foot in one since.

There's nothing at Dick's you can't get at a dozen other places that actually support the RKBA.
