I built this custom 8mm Mauser after having bad luck with surplus rifles and a Remington Classic.
It started as a model 110 long action and I removed the original barrel, barrel nut and recoil lug. I then bought a Shilen select match barrel chambered in 8x57 with a 1:10 twist. I have always had good luck with my Shilen barrels. It is a varmint contour barrel. I bought a hogue stock with full length bedding block in aluminum, to which I fitted the action. The barrel was mated to the action with a new precision nut from NSS, together with a double disk ground recoil lug.
The scope base is a steel Warne picatinny rail. Trigger is a stock accutrigger. Magazine holds 3 rounds, and you can hand load one through the port if you wish.
I'm moving to a smaller house and have to reduce the size of my collection, so this one is for sale. Payment by postal MO, I will ship to your FFL or possibly FTF in Southern Michigan.
Thanks for your time.
