One of the newest scope and binocular companies is TRACT.

The two owners, both named Jon, worked in the sporting optics industry for many years, last stop was Nikon. Then they quit Nikon and formed TRACT Optics.

Their scopes have three price lines and the top line, Toric, has German SCHOTT glass and ED glass, all lenses fully multicoated with a minimum or four coatings.
The reviews for TRACT optics has been very favorable from some quite knowledgable testers.

There is nothing really new about their optics' technology except that their prices are often less than half what other top scope and binocular makers charge for the same quality. This is done the same way SWFA does it. You buy direct from the company and don't pay for a lineup of middlemen.

Currently TRACT is only producing scopes (all made in Japan) that are 2nd focal plane and MOA turrets with either duplex or BDC reticles. Fine if you like that setup.

When TRACT makes those top-of-the-line Toric scopes with FFP, mil/mil and maybe even a Christmas tree reticle I'll be there with my credit card in my grubby little hand, drooling and glassy-eyed, ready to buy one. That is unless I've already purchased a Vortex AMG scope, in which case I'll be delirious with joy.

In the meantime I'll be using my SWFA 3 - 15 x 42 scope that, GUESS WHAT? - is sold only through the SWFA, with no middlemen. What a novel idea!

I'm very interested to hear how their binos stack up against the Razors and the SLC HD's.

Definitely some irons in the fire for new development for TRACT. Had to get the basics in the market and earn that support.

If anyone is curious now, were running a Christmas promo for 15% any in stock optic/item until 12/21.

Always feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions.

MOA hashed reticle. I'm amazed every company doesn't offer something in this realm, I'm just waiting for sightron to have some more offerings in their LRMOA.

I have the MOA-H on my S3 and like it

We've had a few customers share their reviews and how they rank up to them. here is one from the birding forum from a user who took his Toric's to Africa. He is very open on his feelings compared to the SLC and Razor.

A few pages in another user shares his review as well.

Too bad not apples to apples. 8x tract vs 10x everything else, and he said back in august he was getting 10x. Didn't see any more talk about the 10x?

Does the turret with zero stop only allow one rev or does the screw clear and allow full adjustment above one rev? Does the windage turrets count up in both directions from zero? What model has the most available MOA? Need a long range reticle, .250 thick cross hairs is better than double what is norm for LR.

The high profile turret kit with zero stop and lock allows one rotation, but since the turret has 20 moa per rotation, you get at least 72 clicks (or 18 MOA) out of it before it hits the stop.
The windage knobs are not set to count up from zero in each direction.

Working on bringing our more offering catering to the LR crowd. Needed to get into the pool with the classics and then start branching out. Good things coming your way and at great retails.
